What about this device (PTC thermistor) remotely resembles a relay? Why call it a relay if it isn't a relay? Why call it a resistor if it isn't a resistor? PTCT is what it should be called...but 'merica? When things are called by their proper names, it avoids confusion and steers one towards it's function. If I said I'm taking my shed to the store, people wouldn't know what I'm talking about. If I say I'm taking my car to the store, it makes sense. Words matter. Definition matters.

So why do some manufacturers install their dryer filters inside of the condenser and not inside of the air handler and with Bosch systems it says in the manual that you were supposed to install the dryer filter next to the outdoor because of the EVV

great video, a lot of good info. How do I get my mini split to stop when set temperature is reached and then start again when temperature drops below chosen programmed setting? Your video says if I use "auto", it will work at factory default of 78 for AC. That is way too warm at night in Florida. A regular AC unit starts and stops based on a temp setting. How do I do that here? Also, what can I use to tell me what the temp is in the room? Do I need a separate thermostat? Can I get a new/different thermostat that will be wireless and show me temp in room and work the mini split?

Video was a great help. THANK YOU! I had two mice get into my heat pump. They chewed and frayed the ambient temp sensor. (solid 03 code). After that they were killed by the start capacitor. I spliced the wires on the temp sensor together then checked it with an ohm meter. It checked good but upon reinstalling the sensor to the board the (03) code went from solid to blinking. After watching this video, I followed the instructions and cleared the code. I now have a fully functional heat pump with only the (!) code. I will be replacing the ambient outdoor temperature sensor with a new one once it arrives. Better safe than sorry. THANK YOU!

410 doesn't ring humidity out as quick as r22 because it flashed at a higher temp and pressure. The more efficient systems often require dehumidifiers or outside air systems. What do you expect to see from the new stuff?

The 92% in horizontal left position has two drains. One from the collector box as you mentioned. The other coming from the 2” exhaust adapter with those two 1/2” outlets. There is not one coming off of the bottom of the draft inducer per the installation instructions. The issue I ran into was when installing on one of the half-inch outlets on the 2 inch exhaust pipe adapter, it would not drain properly. Switched to the other outlet and it still would not drain properly. Once I put a tube on both outlets and ran into a 1/2” plastic Y, then to my field supplied trap it drained fine. Please include at least 3ea 90° plastic half-inch barb fittings and some more half-inch vinyl tubing so that we don’t have to go scrounging around town for materials to complete an installation. Also just include the 2” exhaust tee/trap for the horizontal left when going out the end of the furnace instead of offering it as an accessory.
